I still think the Islanders are the favorites to land Miller.

Maybe, they end up trading us this yrs pick to complete Vanek deal and trade next years no 1 for Miller, and thus going all in.
Islanders have shown some willingness to make a boom or bust trade, unfortunately for them mostly bust.

Makes some sense, new building and Miller would help pull Islanders out of bottom tier and lowering value of picks in theory. Also maybe helps Vanek stay on the Island, thus making that trade worthwhile

Alot of blockbuster trade hx b/w the two clubs...
Lafontaine/Turgeon; Peca/Connolly; Vanek/Moulson+...Miller?

Blues...Not sure if have guts to help seal their deal. I would think Sabres would want more than the Blues no 1

The Islanders are in a precarious position...the only way I take Miller if I am the Isle's is if it is a sign and trade. If Vanek is traded what can the Isle's get to keep them in the playoff hunt, most likely a first plus prospects but nothing that will replace Vanek's production so they will still be at square one when all is said and done. Vanek says all the right things but he won't be on the Island after the trade deadline and won't be there next year. I think the Isle's would have been smarter re-signing Moulson and trading for Miller in the first place. JMO

We have so many guys who shouldn't be playing senior hockey. Konopka,Omark,Ellis,Scott,Leino, dagostini, mcbain, tallinder and the list goes on. Please hockey GODS, don't let Ted Nolan be our full time coach. The 80 s and 90 s are over

Halak and Ellliott have not been able to beat Niemi

Which is why we lost the the Sharks when we met them in the playoffs a couple years ago... Oh, wait.

It has been thrown out there that Ryan Miller is not interested in the Money. There are two things driving him right now. First and foremost he want to wins a Stanley Cup and I cant blame him. He will not do that in New York with the Islanders. He wont resign long term not just because of the status of the team but to my second point he has made it known that he wants to be closer to his wife in Los Angeles. I honestly think St. Louis gives him that best chance and gets him closer to LA. I can see him going to Washington for the season but I doubt he resigns. Either by trade or free Agency I believe he ends up in one of two places. Either St. Louis or Minnesota.

A lot of people have speculated about that. I don't remember ever seeing an interview where he has specifically mentioned that.

And if that were the case, then why would you believe he ends up in St Louis or Minnesota, although closer to LA, not much closer that going to Washington and re-signing.

Stewart is lazy, takes a lot of shifts off, and will have a hot streak every once and a while to remind you that he's still there, but overall really doesn't play up to his contract.

New York is "closer" to LA than Buffalo just for the fact that they have direct flights. Flying to LA f Buffalo is a pain, especially if you don't fly SWA, which I doubt the Millers do.
Also, NY offers the market, not just for him but his wife too.
I'd like to see him in St. Louis w that team but not sure they will be willing to pay the price.

Islanders and Brooklyn have a better shot of signing Miller long term than St. Louis, well because it's NYC!
I don't think the wifey will be any happier in St. Louis

Miller can have fun watching the post season from his couch if he's looking for 8.5million

If it weren't for Sabres fans, I would think that Blues fans are the most delusional humans alive.
